Us at the reception and happenings since the wedding.

So my brothers actually sealing took place earlier in the day and since it was raining we did not take pictures really at the temple. Paul and Jen were smart though and had taken pictures the day before. The sealing was amazing! It was very instructive and it was great having all of my siblings in the temple at the same time. This will be the last time it happens again for a long time as my youngest brother Matt leaves for the MTC March 10th!

After the wedding we headed home. We were the only ones who drove so we had to drive like the 12 hours to go through Las Vegas as there was a snow storm through Kanab. We got home Sunday night and Monday I went grocery shopping. I will let you in on a secret I love to go grocery shopping. Lately though I have been kind of down and out because it is a lot harder with a baby and takes twice the amount of time to go. Oh, well I guess this is life for the next how many ever years.

Then come last Tuesday (the 22nd) I actually got the chilies and a fever. Well, on Wednesday it dawned on me that I only get that if I get a plugged duct. Can I just say that having plugged ducts are the worst! Then by Thursday I plugged ducts in both breasts. I know a little graphic but you get the pictures. Here I will say some of the best advice my father in law has given us (he is an OBGYN) is to put heat on them and to have Ben message out the clog. It hurts like crazy but I must say I am now feeling better because of him! Thanks Honey!

Then on Saturday night we had one of the most disturbing things happen. It was about 7 pm and we hear this screaming. It was like that of someone like bleeding or being chased or something horrible. Well, Ben opens the door and our neighbor across the way with her little boy in her arms and she's screaming do something he had a seizure and he's not breathing. So I ran got there other little boy from there apartment while Ben called 911. Then I get back and she said do something his lips are turning purple. So I said bring him down we have to lay him on the floor. As she laid him down I realized I may have to give CPR if this little boy does not start breathing. So I tilt his head back as you do if you are going to start CPR and he starts breathing! One of the biggest reliefs in my life! Then the 911 people said to turn him on his side in case he threw up. With in 2 minutes the ambulance was here taking over. They figured out that their little boy is fine. I guess seizures can happen when a child's fever raises or drops too quickly which happened in his case. We were just glad we were home in order to help. This incident also helped me realize that I am grateful for taking CPR course in order to go to girls camp.

Sunday was nice as it was very relaxed. Then Monday we attended a viewing for a baby who was only lived 10 days due to a rare brain disease. This was the couples first baby. It was heart breaking to see and our prayers are with them! Also going to the viewing and what happened Saturday night it was a shot of mortality. I feel very blessed to have our baby who is healthy and happy and has not had to bare a lot of mortal pains yet. Well that is it for now! I will post if I actually get him rolling over on camera!

The Dance

SO Jen and Paul had a dance at there reception. I must say it turned out a lot better than the dance we had at our reception...that also may have had to do with the fact that we live in Othello so there were not a lot of people my age there to dance and all the older people didn't dance. Anyway, I was glad it worked out for them.

The Reception Cont.

The First picture is Josh and Lauren. Second is David and Lachelle. Last is a picture of all the babies born this past year. Babies from Right to left Kyra, Ethen, Hyrum, and Suvanna. Adults from left to right Jen, Ben, Rachel, and Nicole.

The Reception

The first picture is of my Grandparents-my Mom's parents. The second is of my sister Nicole and our niece Suvanna, and the last is of my parents. My mother said it was the happiest day of her life as she had all 10 of her children in the temple along with her parents! Quite an accomplishment!

Other Happenings since Christmas

Ben started his last semester at BYU! He however has since realized that he has senior-itias. In January we went with my sister Nicole to see my grandparents in Grace, ID (which is about 2 1/2 hours away from us).

February brought Ben's 25th B-day! For his birthday and as part of a celebration that it was announced to the board that he would be taken the directors position, we went out to Outback Steak House! And I had shrimp on the barb which I have not had in like 5 years. I was just to scared to try shrimp but I had it there like I said 5 years ago. So Ben wanted me to eat Shrimp again so he ordered that. I must say I think it was better than I remembered. I first time I tried it I had to control my gag reflex but this time I didn't have to fight a gag reflex. After that we came back and Paul, Jen, and Nicole came over for cake. However, Paul and Ben were the only ones at the time who had cake as I was stuffed and Nicole doesn't eat sweets. (However, I had my fair share the next two days when I probably eat at least 1/2 the cake by myself...I will admit it I have a sugar addiction!) For Ben's b-day he got a man bag which he is loving! He loves it because he wallet will no longer be wearing out his back pockets. I also got him The Prince Of Egypt! He had wanted it for a long time so he could have a Sunday movie he could watch.

After that I got sick for 3 days right before we headed down to AZ for my younger brothers wedding. No fun and actually a lot of my family got sick earlier in the week before his wedding. Luckily we were all better in time for the wedding! So here are the pictures from the wedding! We'll go to this point and then I'll post what has happened since then!

After Christmas

So after Christmas Ethen got his first round of shots. I was quite surprised at how upset he got. After he was born he was had his little incision however he barely whimpered so to hear full out scream just pulled at my heart strings!

Like Father Like Son

During our Christmas break we went and visited Ben's family in Spokane area. While we were there we asked to see Ben's baby pictures. Needless to say him and Ethen look almost identical! My sister Nicole say the picture of Ben and asked when the pictures was taken (thinking it was of Ethen). I tried to find a picture of Ethen in the same position but I couldn't. We have although also figured out Ethen does have my nose and my ears. Other than that he is all Ben!

Pictures with cousin Hyrum.

This is Ethen with his cousin Hyrum. They are a little more than 6 months in age so they will be great playmates! Hyrum was taking pictures just fine until he realized Ethen was right next to him. Fun times. These are the PJs that my mom gave them. It is cute. Ethen now is really starting to fill in these PJs!

Well, I must say that I have been quite a procrastinator! I have really wanted to get film of Ethen rolling over to post it for everyone to see. However, as soon as I pull out the camera he just stops trying. So Then I just take pictures. Anyway...excuses, excuses I know but there it is. So here are our pictures from Christmas! My Dad played Santa for a couple of wards so we got a pictures with him and Ethen before he changed after he got home. There is also a picture of his picture of Hayden with Grandpa as well.

Christmas Pictures! I know a little late but better rather than never!
